As it's currently possible to build and install custom Metaquest environments, I am building a Custom Home in the style of Lunarium, a paper puzzle adventure game. Although it is currently rumoured that new updates may remove the home environment all together in favour of augments, digital 3D Assets that can be placed within the users real play space.  Work flow                1. Paper cutting : game assets and illustration work

I am currently cutting paper grass in a variety of coloured papers for use as website graphics, game assets and papercut illustration references. This is part of the Sartorium Studio paper aesthetic branding but also to progress the game environment development.  As a paper artist, and illustrator, I have worked on a commissioned and freelance basis in the past. I live working with material and paper has an endless fascination for me given that it’s both fragile and strong.  It’s intended that a Lunarium poster will be produced for the game and that this may lead on to designing and producing other illustration work in support or and as another method of artistic production that I find very satisfying.  The challenge for me at the moment (and to be honest has been for a while now) how to translate the visual aesthetic of cut paper to digital 2D and 3D work. New work schedule

I have been reflecting on my work/life balance and wish to reorganise and refocus my personal and professional projects to give myself more quality time with the people I love and care about.  To balance my work I have automated many of the functions that I was previously juggling and for which on analysis I was allowing more time for than necessary.  This I how I took my workload in hand :  ✔️         reopened a Trello workboard (to manage workflow and keep track of anything critical)  ✔️          Automated  posts for my instructional design portfolio - VR research / POD / Shepherds Shield  ✔️          shepherds shield research application has been suspended until April 2024.  ✔️          I have scheduled 2 long weekends free time each month to do with as I like :)  ✔️          I have reorganised my day to schedule my 1 hou...

Ring Mistress Character Development

The Ring Mistress is a key character throughout the game. She stands at major gateways and also helps guide the player should they need help.  Initial references for this character were drawn from “The American Horror Story’, Burlesque performers and The cirque de solei. Extensive research was conducted that analysed and deconstructed fairground apps and games currently on the market. These seemed to be aimed at a much younger audience than intended for this game young adult/adult 18+ The aim is not the seduction of male, but the empowerment of female. To see our character as a strong woman, for me is about personal control, consent, agreement and boundaries.
